Mandala Studio was commissioned to develop the strategy, name and brand for a new online insurance platform in Thailand. The name is a Thai expression for a happy emotional reaction and exudes surprise, playfulness and delight. The personality of the brand is defined by a raised “O”, which visually emphasises the way it is spoken, applied in a contemporary, bright colour palette. The branding supports OOHOO’s bold mission to differentiate from their competitors who still rely on phone calls by brokers. It appeals to a modern, upward market who are looking to discover and also purchase their insurance online.
