Over the last 5 years Mandala Studio worked closely with GP Group’s heiress Nishita Shah to tell the 150 year history of this Thai-Indian family business and to move the brand forward.

GP Group is a Thailand-based strategic investment group with companies in diverse sectors, such as logistics, pharmaceuticals, aviation & technology. The history of the company started over 150 years ago with rice-trading in Bombay and has been transformed by Kirit Chimanlal Shah into a billion-dollar investment group.

Coinciding with their 150 year anniversary, Mandala Studio worked together with GP Group to push the brand forward.

We made adjustments to the GP Group logo and designed an identity for the 150 year anniversary. We completely overhauled the old corporate website, brought a renewed vitality to the corporate colour palette, and designed a new way to tell the GP story and show off the diverse portfolio of businesses.

Documenting the story for future generations of Shahs as well as an inspiration for the 10,000 people who are part of the corporate family.

“The GP Group now has a comprehensive history book that is well designed and a pleasure to read, invaluable for reminding us what the GP spirit is all about!”

“Mandala Studio helped to define the realistic parameters of the project given our time and budget. By the second meeting they came back with 3 directions, we chose one and then never deviated from that. They got it right away and we produced a beautiful book in 5 months! I would work with them again in a heartbeat.”

– Nishita Shah (Group Managing Director)

The result is a 180-page cloth-bound limited edition book, illustrated with historic family pictures. We commissioned additional photography and illustrations including a special fold-out map. For the book launch we produced letter-pressed invitations and an animation.
